About LEONOR TORRES
“True beauty isn’t defined by appearance alone; it’s the deep connection we feel with who we truly are,” says Leonor Torres, Digital Editor of Style Hunter, whose career is built on a vision of beauty inspired by her background in art.
With a strong foundation in art, Leonor brings a unique perspective to beauty: for her, true beauty is an art form, a composition of lines, shapes, and details that together convey emotion and tell a story. In every project she leads, she aims to capture the essence of authenticity, revealing depth and uniqueness in everything she touches. Her approach goes beyond the surface; in her view, beauty is the art of connecting with something real and transcendent.
In her role at Style Hunter, Leonor has spearheaded initiatives that reshape traditional beauty narratives, creating a space where art and authenticity merge. Each editorial piece and image she curates reflects her artistic vision, balancing aesthetics with depth. For her, each visual element reflects identity, and her work invites others to discover beauty in the genuine, the imperfect, and the diversity of form.
Leonor has made her career a continuous exploration of art and beauty, demonstrating how the two disciplines intertwine and enrich each other. From her perspective, art allows us to see beauty in all its complexity, while beauty invites us to create and appreciate beyond the obvious. In this sense, Leonor seeks not only to redefine standards but to inspire a new way of understanding beauty—as an authentic and profound manifestation that encourages us to view the world, and ourselves, with a sense of purpose and meaning.

How has your perception of beauty changed since taking on a leadership role, and how has this evolution influenced your professional decisions?
Assuming a leadership role has made me see beauty as a reflection of authenticity and purpose. Beauty, for me, has always been a powerful tool for self-confidence and for navigating those initial moments when impressions are formed. However, in taking on this role, I have deepened my approach to what I want to project; more than ever, I feel the importance of cultivating something real and lasting. Working from within has given me the clarity to make professional decisions with a genuine and reliable foundation.
What strategies do you use to balance external pressures about appearance with your personal values of beauty and authenticity?
I constantly remind myself that what brings me peace and confidence is what truly matters. When I feel that external pressure or the “should be” interferes with my decisions, I return to this truth to refocus my mind and remember that beauty is most authentic when I am free to be myself.
What is the most significant lesson about beauty that you have applied in your life, and how has it shaped your approach to empowering others?
I have learned that taking care of ourselves daily, even in small details, makes a big difference in the long run. My focus is to live in the present, knowing that what we do today is an investment for tomorrow. That awareness has helped me empower others because when I share that beauty is a continuous journey, I create a space for everyone to discover it in their own way, without pressure or impositions.
How do you use your influence to redefine beauty in a way that empowers women and promotes authentic representation?
My goal is to inspire others to feel comfortable in their own skin, sharing my experience and making it clear that authenticity is unique to each person. I love when someone asks me for advice because they have seen something in me that inspires them. What works for me may not work for everyone, but every time I share my truth, I invite others to explore their own. The beauty I share is just an invitation for others to discover what resonates with their own essence.
What challenges have you faced in attempting to change the beauty narrative in your environment, and what were the keys to overcoming them?
One of the biggest challenges has been trusting my intuition and daring to experiment. Many times, we fear trying something new in our style or routine due to fear of judgment or change. But I have learned that if something sparks my curiosity, I prefer to try it and decide afterward. That approach has allowed me to leave behind complexes that no longer represent me and understand that what we thought defined us years ago does not necessarily do so today. The key, even if it sounds repetitive, is having confidence in our own decisions.
How do you think beauty standards are evolving, and what role should the media play in shaping them?
Today, beauty standards are expanding to accommodate the diversity of styles and expressions, and I believe the media has a tremendous responsibility to reflect this reality. We must be allies of this evolution, not by imposing a single model but by respectfully and admirably showcasing the plurality of ways in which each person expresses themselves. In our dialogue with the audience, we must celebrate diversity and be an authentic platform for the new generations.
How do you incorporate your personal values into your beauty rituals, and how does this influence your well-being?
Washing my face every night before bed is that gesture. It may seem simple, but for me, it is a promise of constant care. This moment represents a ritual of connection, a reminder that, even if fatigue wins for a moment, it is worth investing in long-term well-being. This simple act is a daily promise of self-care and self-love, a small gesture that helps me reconnect with who I am at my core.
